Overview: This Pediatrics Locum position is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment. You will work at our St. Mary's High Desert location, providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic setting. With scheduled hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and no-call responsibilities, you can focus on delivering quality pediatric care to an average of 25 patients daily. The role offers flexibility with a potential pathway to permanent employment, making it ideal for providers interested in long-term commitment in a community-focused practice. Required Skills: Active California medical license and CA DEA registration Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency completion Valid BLS certification Strong clinical skills in pediatrics, with the ability to manage a diverse patient population Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently Ability to handle fluctuating patient volumes and no-show scenarios effectively Nice to Have Skills: Bilingual Spanish-speaking proficiency Experience working in high-demand, socioeconomically challenged communities Prior experience in locum tenens or transitioning into permanent roles Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Recent pediatric clinical experience in a primary care setting At least 2 years of pediatric practice experience preferred Other Requirements: No privileges needed; provider can start once access is established Availability to work full-time, four weeks per month, Monday to Friday Willingness to consider locums-to-perm opportunities Travel and licensure reimbursements provided where applicable Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour This is your chance to join a dedicated team committed to patient care and community well-being.
