As an ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreoretinal surgery, you will: Restore and preserve vision for patients with retinal disorders, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and other vitreoretinal diseases Evaluate and diagnose a wide range of retinal and vitreoretinal conditions, determining when surgical or medical intervention is needed Utilize advanced surgical techniques, including retinal detachment repair (scleral buckle, vitrectomy), macular surgery, retinal laser procedures, and intravitreal injections Perform comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assessments to ensure optimal outcomes for retinal and vitreoretinal procedures Conduct precise, minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgical procedures Provide attentive post-operative care, monitoring retinal recovery and visual outcomes Collaborate with a dynamic team of surgeons, optometrists, technicians, scribes, and front office staff to deliver comprehensive retinal and vitreoretinal care Treat a wide range of ophthalmic cases, with emphasis on retinal diseases, diabetic eye disease, macular pathology, retinal vascular disorders, and complex vitreoretinal surgeries This is more than a jobit's an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a vibrant community while advancing your retina career.
