This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our accounting department and contribute to our company's financial strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounting operations, overseeing financial reporting, and guiding the organization towards fiscal stability. This role requires a strong background in the construction industry, expertise in Epicor, MS Excel, and General Ledger, and the ability to close month-end processes effectively. If you are a seasoned leader with a passion for numbers and a knack for strategic planning, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies and plans.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, coordinate systems and procedures, and ensure that company assets are safeguarded.
• Implement and manage effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems, including financial, accounting, legal, information technology, human resources, and physical infrastructure.
• Train and lead a team of accounting professionals to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Assist in the development of the annual operating budget and monitor the actual conduct of operations against the budget.
• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Epicor, MS Excel, and General Ledger is required.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
